My little Valentine was super cranky this morning. Something woke him up from his morning nap a half hour in– not sure if pain or a bad dream or something but he was very unhappy and tired afterwards. I would have just put him back to bed a bit later but we had a date– I discovered through a random series of events that one of my favorite teachers from high school is one of my neighbors just a few houses down. Junior and Senior year I was all about the drama program at high school– my whole life revolved around it. I was a bit of a teacher’s pet, even though I didn’t ever have the lead and frankly wasn’t all that good. So I was delighted to discover my now retired old teacher lives in my neighborhood and we had arranged to meet up this morning and unfortunately Max had a rare bad day where he was in a mood, kind of freaked out by her presence, and complained most of our walk. He eventually came around a bit, but he is normally so social and flirty it was surprising but I think he was just really tired and possibly not feeling well.
M. surprised us by coming home earlier than expected from a business trip, which was the best Valentine’s gift I could ask for– we aren’t much into valentines day, though we both agreed Max makes a great little Valentine.
I have three dozen cupcakes to make tomorrow, plus a trip to Costco with LL which I am afraid I am going to forget about, and then work in the afternoon, with ongoing headaches trying to fix my stupid error (it’s a bit like the movie Office Space and the TPS reports– if you screw up you have to notify EVERYONE in in WORLD about it. Oh well).
I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day with unexpected surprises.

We did, glad your turned out well too!
